"Mini Universes"
are mysterious places of light, grace and spirituality. The colors and
shapes may vary from one to the next, but the same spirit exists throughout
them all-the spirit of light that overtakes the darkness.
In 2006 Vineta
began to work on her own collection of abstract photography, exploring
a newly created mini universe from her own rules and logic. She is an
explorer in an undiscovered world, photographing hundreds of images,
documenting all along the way. Vineta attempts to capture all the beauty
she sees, so as not to forget, to share with others what she has found.
But a "Created Universe" cannot be seen twice. Images are
the only documents and proof that this world ever existed. In this sense,
each series is based on a separate unique universe, usually in an image
series of twelve. She attempts to create an atmosphere of hope and beauty
and her ability to capture the moment while creating it at the same
time is that which makes her work unique.
Vineta has
received awards from the European Union, Manhattan Art's International
Gallery and in 2008 was entitled "Best Emerging Artist" from the Best
of 2007 Art Source in New York. Her photography prints were used on
the set of the CW Network TV series, "One Tree Hill" Season 8 (12),
NBC's TV series "Up All Night" (starring Christina Applegate), "Beautiful
People", "Two
and a Half Men" and also upcoming feature film "Cotton".
Vineta's
Painting "Tears of the Sun" was chosen to illustrate the poem of the
week by Michael Donaghy, at the "Times
Literary Supplement". Selections of Vineta's photography is currently
available at Art Pic gallery, North Hollywood, CA. Clients: Warner Bros,
